Non-Conflict Minerals policy of Ye Fong Aluminium Industrial Ltd. -“No Procurement, No Use of Conflict Metals”

Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) survey found that local rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries in Africa Obtaining tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold and other minerals through forced labor, abuse of child labor and other illegal methods, and selling them in exchange for weapons, causing regional turmoil. These four minerals obtained through illegal operations are internationally called Conflict Minerals. Such metal minerals are tantalum (Tantalum, Ta), tin (Tin, Sn), tungsten (Tungsten, W) and gold (Gold, Au). The aforementioned metals from DRC and its adjacent conflict areas are called Conflict Minerals.

The company declares the conflict-free metal policy on the official website, and communicates the conflict mineral policy of the company and requirements to the supplier through the supplier notification and the company website. The supplier must abide by the company’s conflict mineral policy and establish its conflict mineral policy and flow down it to sub-tier supplier.

Conduct supplier surveys through the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) to identify the source of smelters. Suppliers are requested to sign a declaration to confirm compliance with the Conflict Minerals Policy of Ye Fong and to ensure that they correctly and completely disclose the source of the smelter.

See the information of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) on the Responsible Minerals Initiative (www.responsiblemineralsinitiative.org).
